Have you started to lose your motivation to exercise and be healthy?  Do you feel like you are going off the rails more and more each week?

1. Set Yourself a Goal
It doesn’t matter how big or how small the goal may be, but setting one is the first step to achieving it.  Write down this goal on a piece of paper, your phone or your computer, and every so often just read it over and then ask yourself, “Am I getting closer to my goal?” You need to know what your goal is are you exercising to feel great? or to look great? honestly ask yourself why am I exercising? what is my purpose for exercising and what is my goal. You need to be clear about your goal and to set your intention.

2: Track Your Progress
Now you need to start tracking your progress to ensure you’re moving in the right direction – towards your goal.  If you’re training for a 5 km fun run then start tracking and writing down your PBs  by tracking it either through your phone, diary, computer you will be able to see your progress and this will help you to stay motivated and excited that you are progress each and every day.

3: Eat Good, Feel Great
We all know the old saying “you are what you eat”, so if you have bad eating habits then you’re likely to feel bad on the inside, have poor energy levels and it may affect your mood.  If you have healthy eating habits, eating quality nutrients, then your body will feel great and is more likely going to keep you energised, and of course motivated.  If you’re someone who struggles to cook then  just start out with really basic recipes such as a clean lean chick breast and veggies you don’t have to be a master chef to be able to cook healthy nutritious food.

4: Mix It Up
Training with one goal in mind can cause us to constantly do the same thing to try and achieve that goal. Even if you are training for your 5km fun run goal you still need to mix it up.  Introduce a wide range of activities such as weights, yoga, stairs as long as it’s different everyday and you are challenging your Body, Mind and Spirit you will never loose motivation or get bored with working out.

5: Be Passionate
Staying motivated comes down to desire and passion. This will naturally motivate you to become that person you’re striving to be.  Without the passion you just won’t put the same effort in. Discover your fire and use it to fuel you every day.  Be passionate to live your best healthiest, happiest active life. Regardless of what your personal goals are the only way to achieve them is to stay focussed.  Make the most of every new opportunity and embrace learning new active things.

Our social life can sometimes get in the way of our personal health and wellness goals – it’s important to be clear about what is more important to you is it on a Sunday waking up and feeling good or waking up and feeling sick and spending all day in bed? You get to choose there is no peer pressure anymore you are in control of your destiny when it comes to reaching your goals. You have the power to achieve any goal you wish to as long as you strive to.

Spa it girl xoxo
