Travel Queensland – 5 Resorts To Consider

International Travel out of Australia is likely to stay closed until the next year 2021.  However  you can Travel Queensland and with that in mind I wanted to

share some resort destinations that I have personally visited –  tried, tested and reviewed especially for YOU so here goes.

Island Hideaway

Orpheus Island Lodge is an all-inclusive, private luxury island resort located in the Great Barrier Reef, with only 14 rooms, suites and villas it provides a luxurious private intimate setting.

Orpheus Island is the ultimate in secluded, unspolit tropical paradise and stretches across 11k, of immaculate turquoise coastline.  The island itself comprises of more than 1,000 hectares of national park and is surrounded by pristine fringing reef that you can access simply by stepping out from your accommodation.

Orpheus Island features the main pavilion bar and alfresco-style dining area, a restaurant, a reading room, Gwandalan Day Spa and a infinity pool that will have you looking out to the Coral Sea.

All stays at Orpheus Island include three gourmet meals prepared daily by chef Paul Wilson and his team, use of water sports equipment, unlimited Australian beer and wine as well as soft beverages and a daily Orpheus experience.

You can fly in a Helicopter to Orpheus Island out of Townsville in Far North Queensland and this truly adds to the Travel Bucket List experience.

Orpheus Island is one of my favourite, all-inclusive Private Luxury Island Resorts in Queensland, Australia. If you want to experience a Dream Holiday in Queensland this year especially after all of the stresses of Covid19 think Oprheus Island.

From soothing spa treatments, to wellness consultations, balanced movement programs and stress management sessions you can customise your Gwinganna experience to suit your own personal needs.

I had the absolute pleasure of personally visiting Gwinganna and embarked on my own personal wellness journey here and I truly loved immersing my self each day at their spa, practicing mindfulness, trying exercises classes that I normally wouldn’t even think of trying before, plus meeting so many incredible people along the way.

I learnt alot by attending their wellness sessions and whilst not using mobile phones throughout the day and night and drinking coffee after 12noon was very challenging at first after a couple of days I actually got use to it and enjoyed the social media break.

In my room I had no TV either or mobile phone reception so it really allowed me to confront my own thoughts feelings and emotions and it was a wonderful time to journal read a feel good book and each night before I went to bed I had a nice cup of tea and I found by using no devices at night I naturally was ready to fall asleep by 8pm.

The organic food was amazing and each night we were allowed to drink one standard drink of wine and that was it but once again it really challenged my mindset and you start to learnt what habits are holding you back when it comes to your own health and wellness rituals by the end of my retreat I didn’t even feel like having a glass of wine with my meal which was a great break through especially for someone who has been brought up in Australia with our culture very much centring around alcohol and people using it to celebrate with, party with, relax with, unwind with.

If you have always wanted to go on a Wellness Retreat think Gwinganna.
