The VINTAGE HOTEL & SPA LISBON
I arrived in Lisbon with fresh eyes and an open heart to discover the very best of Portugal. The manager Nicolas offers a level of hospitality that leaves quite the lasting impression, and the warm reception team is a steadfast resource for insider Lisbon travel tips.

THE VINTAGE HOTEL & SPA LISBON ensured I settled in sweetly and I could have retreated on their rooftop garden all day, alas I had a couple media appointments around town to jet off to. Something tells me I’ll be back for another longer visit soon
Here’s why:
More than a comfortable place to lay your head, more than a great location in Lisbon, more than a source of the best of Portugal – THE VINTAGE HOTEL & SPA LISBON offers a unique lifestyle experience under one roof in a quiet historic neighborhood, right on the doorstep of the famed Avenida da Liberdade.
This was the perfect place to rest my feet after a day of venturing around Lisbon. The Vintage is right in the heart of several delicious plant-based restaurants and very close proximity from the Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS) – a close 6.9 km.
Their warm and very accomodating team made sure I felt cozy and taken care of upon arrival, and equipped me with a tea kettle for my love for drinking tea all day.
Rooms here are a perfectly blended fusion of modern comforts and traditional style and vintage chic. The room chosen for me was appropriately a beautiful shade of blush pink and terracotta, and magically matched Lisbon’s iconic rooftop and most of my wardrobe.

Featuring a combination of specially-sourced vintage furniture pieces and unique bespoke reproductions and commissions, the hotel’s aesthetic look is firmly in the present while showcasing the midcentury period’s finest design.
Perhaps the most memorable part of my stay here was my signature massage treatment – The Vintage Ritual – at their fabulous subterranean water spa and tranquility lounge.
Here, I received soul-soothing therapy inspired by the Mediterranean, Arabic, Indian and Oriental ancient traditions. I lingered after to enjoy a rejuvenating organic herbal tea, served in earthy-hued tableware specially created to deliver reflective moments by the Lisbon ceramicist Cecile Mestelan, taking in soothing brass and wood elements surrounding me in a sensual realm.
I was so touched by the amazing gifts sprinkled around my room from local Portugal artisans – iconic luxury Claus Porto toiletries, retro toothpaste from Couto in beautifully designed vintage packaging, and a stand out vintage bar trolley stocked with goodies curated by Foster & Bloom and my favorite – a box of pure dark chocolate.

What sets The Vintage Hotel – apart of the Bomporto Hotels family – aside from the other accommodations in this fast growing travel destination is their warm, loving hospitality and support of local artisans. Bomporto Hotels manages The Lumiares and The Vintage Hotel and is set to manage future hotel, The Rebello in Porto (2021).
