When I overheard that THE SPA by Corinthia Hotel Lisbon had been named
“Portugal’s Best Unique Experience SPA and Best Luxury Destination SPA in Portugal” at World Luxury Spa Awards in 2019 and the exquisite spa uses eco-luxe skincare brand ESPA with all natural local ingredients, I knew I had to have a spa day here to experience it all for myself.

The Portuguese Signature Treatment I received has been thoughtfully created with elements from Portugal’s spectacular coastline and the Portuguese culture and history. The artistic approach to healing and infusions from Portugal’s profound nature set an outstanding experience that my body will cherish forever.

Inspired by the Indian Discovery Routes, led by Vasco da Gama, the treatment begins with a full-body exfoliation using Flor de Sal (fleur de sel.)
Sourced from the Portuguese coast, this unique ingredient is enhanced by the properties of clove buds and cinnamon, a few of the exquisite spices that were first brought to Europe by Portuguese explorers in 1498.
This exfoliation is followed by a powerful soothing oil, blended to relax tired muscles and ease the mind with the deeply warming effects of clove bud and Indian bay.
Before and after my treatment, I enjoyed a long decadent soak in the Acqua Area – a dynamic pool, jacuzzi, sensation showers, cold plunge, crushed ice fountain, sauna and steam for the ultimate hydrotherapy.
