It’s only a 25 minute drive north of the Cairns Airport to The Reef House and it’s located in Tropical Far North Queensland in Palm Cove, Australia.
The Reef House is Rich in history and it was one of the first Palm Cove properties built in 1958 ‘Reef House’ was operated by Brigadier Thomson as a private residence where visitors were treated as personal guests.
Many of the traditions carry on to this day including the Brigadier’s Honesty Bar and twilight canapés and punch hosted by their General Manager.
Palm Cove Village, is where the rainforest meets the sea, it is one of Australia’s beautiful natural settings with a long sandy beach, ancient Melaleuca trees, swaying palms and tropical skies.

The Reef House offers 67 rooms and sites with a tropical colonial beach house feel, with two swimming pools, adults only tranquility pool and heated mineral pool, and Award Winning Reef House Restaurant and Day Spa.
The Reef House Restaurant is a beautiful natural setting under Melaleuca Trees and it over looks the Coral Sea.
They use local North Queensland fresh produce and thy have on average 250 different labels of wine at given time along with a talented sommelier on hand who is able to share knowledge and find the perfect drop to match your meal and tastebuds.

You can choose from a la carte or degustation menu at The Reef House Restaurant and they have various gourmet experiences from poolside, in-room or a beachfront picnic.
A personal concierge service for booking experiences, airport transports and more. You can borrow a book, board game or sketch kit from their guest library. They offer unlimited use of vintage cruiser bikes and fishing roads. They offer complimentary on-site parking and WiFi.

The Reef House also offers unforgettable luxury complimentary luxury experiences for their guests from a Gin infused welcome and cold towel upon arrival. Pool Butler Service from 11am.
Local tropical sorbet served poolside at 3pm daily. Daily punch and canapés served daily at twilight. ‘Reef House Mixology’ interactive cocktail classes. Wine and digestive tasting twice per week.
Poolside stretch and Breathe class twice a week, Aqua Aerobics in their heated mineral pool twice per week and Beachfront Yoga four times a week. Skincare talk and mimosa at the Day Spa twice a week.

PHYTOMER uses marine bio-technology that limits environmental impacts to preserve fragile marine ecosystems.
During my stay I had a Seasonal Botanical Spa Facial by WATERLILY which is suitable for all skin types and great for Firming and Brightening and Hydrating your skin.
My Spa Therapist was actually the Spa Director Isabelle Neil and I have to say she is one of the best Spa Therapist’s, Facialist, I have ever experienced in the Palm Cove, Far North Queensland, Cairns Region.
Isabelle Neil is originally from Switzerland, and was trained in France by creme de la creme, Clairns, Chanel, Dior and Phytomer, Isabelle specialises in intensive therapies such as anti-ageing, deep relaxation massage and slimming treatments.
Isabelle was the Managing Director of the first privately owned Christian Dior Spa on the Caribbean Island of Saint Maarten.
Isabelle Neil’s extensive experience has taken her all around the world as a pioneer in providing anti-ageing facial treatments.
I loved the tropical day spa experience and after my facial experience it was the best my skin had felt in years. I also love their spa pool that I got to use after my treatment too.
