atama was the first head spa to be created in Australia, founded in 2019 by hair, scalp, and wellness expert Gabriel Skalic.

When atama Founder, Gabriel Skalic visited Japan to enhance her craft, there was a spirit of generosity that stood out to her.

A genuine desire from Head Spa Masters to share knowledge and to spread the art and technique of Japanese head spa globally, for the greater wellness of people around the world.

Having spent years travelling between Australia and Japan, learning from renowned practitioners and masters.

Gabriel developed a unique method that is exclusive to atama, founded on holistic healing, health, and beauty.

The Skalic Method is practiced by all atama therapists and is adapted to the individual needs of each client.

The atama space has been designed to emulate stillness.

The studio is white and silent, encouraging detachment from the clutter and noise of the outside.

The atama menu, meticulously crafted by Gabriel Skalic, is an ode to her skill and passion.
