Eha – Estonia Nature Wellness Retreat

True transformation begins in stillness

Eha began with a question: how do we return to what matters?

Transformative Wellness Rooted in Nature

Eha is rooted in Estonia’s raw landscapes and ancient rhythms, the retreat was created not as an escape, but an offering, a place to reconnect, restore and remember.

Eha was founded by Eva Maran and Sonny Aswani, united by a shared reverence for nature, heritage and holistic wellbeing.

For Eva, Hiiumaa is a homecoming. As her grandfather was born on the island, and Eha continues that lineage with meaning and care.

As co-founder of Shroomwell, Eva blends ancestral forest wisdom with modern wellness, shaping a new path for Estonia’s health culture.

Eha is set to open it’s doors in Summer 2026 on Estonia’s unspoilt Hiiumaa Island, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Designed by Estonian architect Tiit Trummal, Eha’s buildings draw from vernacular Estonian traditions. Reed-thatched roofs, clean lines and spatial openness reflect the landscape.

Structures are placed with care oriented to maximise natural light, shelter from wind and harmonise with Hiiumaa’s seasonal moods and rhythms.

The retreat was developed also in collaboration with leading ecologists and local advisors too.

Every structure, path and planting were placed with intention, shaped by a belief in low-impact, high-integrity building. The result: a retreat that feels grown, not built, a true part of Hiiumaa.

From thatched-roof suites to the tucked-away forest suites, the interiors are elegant and understated.

Windows frame forests and skies. Light shifts throughout the day and this accommodation offers peaceful presence.

Wellness
At Eha, wellness grows from the ground up, steady and considered.

It’s shaped by season, setting and self, evolving with each guest’s needs.

From therapeutic treatments to silent forests, the retreat is an invitation to live more consciously, to rest more deeply and to return renewed.

All of the Eha wellness treatments, programs, menus, activities will be guided by the island’s unique “five-season” rhythm.

Thermal Suite
Rooted in Estonian sauna culture, the thermal suite is a space for physical and energetic reset. Indoor and outdoor saunas, steam rooms, cold plunges and hydrotherapies support the body’s natural detoxification processes, while expansive views of the Baltic Sea amplify a deep sense of release.

Movement
Classes will range from breath-led yoga to functional strength and aquatic flow, guided by experienced practitioners. Each session is adaptable, responsive and grounded in presence offering a return to the body not through force but through attention.

Nature Immersion
The island is both a setting and a teacher. Guests will learn forest skills, forage ingredients, tend to the land and move across water. Whether through gardening, snowshoeing or paddleboarding, each interaction grounds the body and reconnects the senses to something deeply familiar. You will also be able to move through these landscapes mindfully, gaining clarity and calm by being present to what surrounds them.

Reflection
Eha will offer you the space to pause and reflect. From guided sessions, journaling to sound healing, this will allow guests to process their experience in gentle ways. This isn’t about performance or output. It’s about returning to clarity, quiet integration and listening to the signals within.

Gardening & Nutrition
The organic kitchen garden and foraging experiences root guests in the cycle of nourishment. Harvest, preparation and preservation connect back to seasonal rhythms. This hands-on engagement offers more than knowledge, it’s an invitation to relate to food as medicine and ritual.

Wellbeing
From gentle movement, sauna rituals, breath work , and hydrotherapies these wellness activities will awaken the body and align you with nature’s quiet renewal.

Floating
Offers more than a physical relief, it’s a return to calm. Suspended in warm water, the body lets go. Joints soften, breath slows and the mind begins to quiet. This is rest without effort, balance without force, healing without noise.

Eha Retreats
Will not be about fixing or forcing, but about allowing. Allowing rest, allowing change, allowing return. Rooted in Hiiumaa’s rhythms, these experiences invite guests to meet themselves anew, in tune with nature.
