The Bath Priory is a peaceful haven nestled within four acres of gardens and spacious terraces, and when you stay, it’s just a short walk through Royal Victoria Park to Bath’s city center.
Built in 1835 as a private residence, The Bath Priory is now part of Andrew Brownsword Hotels.
You will find their private art collection hanging on the walls, along with 33 luxurious guest rooms (26 bedrooms and seven suites), each decorated with period furniture and complemented by contemporary bathrooms.
From the moment you enter The Garden Spa by L’Occitane fragrances transport you to Provence; as your escape begins with scents.
Prior to your treatment, you will be greeted with a ‘Welcome Ritual’, a foot bath performed with a soothing formula.
Every gesture, every ingredient, every ritual is drawn from a page of the L’Occitane grand herbarium, a resource of hundreds of essential oils and natural ingredients.
Your experience will take you on a true olfactory journey, sequenced at every step by comforting or energising aromas.
The voyage of the senses continues through gestures, sensorial textures, relaxing music, and the herbal teas inspired by Provencal traditions.

This spa has four treatment rooms, including a dual treatment suite overlooking the gardens, an indoor pool, a heated outdoor pool, an aroma steam room and a sauna.
In collaboration with Amethyst Trust, The Garden Spa by L’Occitane is delighted to offer treatments that are both adaptable and customisable, allowing therapists to create bespoke experiences tailored to the client’s individual needs.
Suitable for clients living with cancer, from diagnosis through treatment, and recovery as well as clients who are medically frail, recovering from illness, immunocompromised, or simply seeking deeply relaxing and nurturing treatments.

It is a comforting massage that is designed to ease the body and mind, to assist in letting go, thanks to relaxing rhythm and movements.
Studies conducted by L’Occitane en Provence laboratories have shown that this gentle touch noticeably enhances well-being and emotional balance.

The Bath Priory
Every room is named after a flower and each is unique.
Heather and Lilac offer “Romeo and Juliet” balconies overlooking the clipped gardens while others, such as Carnation and Bluebell, boast four poster beds, a popular choice for romantic weekends.
Naturally, all come with crisp white linen, plumped-up pillows and Vispring beds to guarantee that perfect night’s slumber
Premier Deluxe Rooms offer stunning views of the gardens, some feature private balconies whilst others offer romantic roll top baths.
Each room comes with a king size bed and complimentary Wi-Fi access. Homemade biscuits and mineral water greet you in your room.
L’Occitane skin care and bath lotions along with slippers and fluffy robes and a Vispring bed complete your stay.
They offer two dog friendly rooms in this category – ‘Foxglove’ and ‘Moringa’.
‘Foxglove’ is located on the ground floor and has a disabled accessible bathroom with a shower only (no bathtub).
Some rooms can be requested as a king or twin bed, and for a larger party, an extra bed can also fit comfortably.
A room with separate bath and shower is available upon request.
