When you think about it we pay a lot of money for our crop tops that we always seem to be covering up.
Are we covering up our Crop Tops because of our Belly Fat? or are we covering up our crop tops out of respect for other’s in our gym class?
If you want to get rid of your stressed out Belly Fat then join my #iwearCROPTOPS @Spaitgirl movement. #iwearCROPTOPS is not about having to be like someone else, or having to have a 6 pack ripped stomach. It’s about focusing inwards and creating healthy habits and getting rid of that unwanted belly fat that is putting your health, happiness and self love at risk.
I remember the day when I was sitting in the doctors surgery and I was talking to my doctor about my weight gain concern and how I was feeling so crap. My doctor turned to me and said – Yvette you can’t keep going like this putting more and more weight on each time I see you and you are at risk of Heart Disease because you have visceral fat that is one of the most dangerous fats that sits amongst your organs and you are to young to be at risk. This was the biggest wake up call for me and all I could think was wholly sh*t if I don’t make some serious lifestyle changes this fat can actually shorten your life and I really did think I too was to young for this considering all of my life I had been an Aerobics Instructor, Personal Trainer but at this point in time in my life I had hit rock bottom and gone off the Active Living Lifestyle rails.

When white fat expands in your abdomen, nestling deep among your organs, it can set you up for some serious health problems. This type of fat, called visceral fat, churns out stress hormones like cortisol and inflammatory substances called cytokines that affect the body’s production of insulin. The result: It’s worse than just being generally overweight; you’re looking at increased risks of type 2 diabetes and heart disease and I think for me that is another reason why I want to empower girls, women of all ages to help lose their belly fat.
I know I have shared with you in the past that if you exercise each week, eat a clean diet, and practice yoga, strength training, meditation, relaxation, self love and positivity that this will help with weight loss but I really wanted to now focus more inwards towards that annoying Belly Fat that just sits on your stomach from the time you wake up till the time you go to bed.
As I remember when I was so overweight and even struggled to tie up my shoe lace because my belly was so fat it got in the way. I know that by looking at me you could never image I would have been overweight but I am just like everyone else human and you go through ups and downs of life and having been a massive emotional eater I had to overcome that along with losing so much weight that I didn’t even see at the time creep on maybe because everyone still use to tell me how great I looked but you can count on kids especially my little niece Julea who would ask – Aunty are you Pregnent and I would have to respond to this little kid – Aunty like’s her food to much but it did make me realise I needed to do something about being overweight and I wanted her to look up to me and for me to be a Healthy, Active, Happy Inspiration as that was my true loving self.

To Kick off the #iwearCROPTOPS @Spaitgirl launch – here are a couple of things you can do to help you get rid of your unwanted belly fat:
MOVE IT
Visceral fat get rid of it by being active – run, swim, ride your bike, skip do anything gets your heart rate up this will help you lose that belly fat.

PRACTICE YOGA
The key is to lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which is linked to belly fat try practicing yoga for even 10 minutes a day to help lower your stress levels and to release the tension you are holding on to.

GET YOUR SLEEP
If you are only having five hours or less per night this increases visceral fat levels. 8 hours of sleep is ideal for losing belly fat. Work out what time you need to go to bed in order to get 8 hours worth of sleep and start creating a new healthy sleep pattern routine. It might mean you miss out on spending endless of hours looking at your social media feeds but it will be well worth going to be bed early so you don’t wake up cranky.

BE THE QUEEN OF TEA
You are more likely to lose belly fat when you exercise and throughout the day drink two to three cups of green tea. Green Tea has Antioxidants in it called catechins this is what helps you lose that unwanted belly fat. Switch from Black Tea to Green Tea and buy yourself a quality Green Tea it might cost a little bit extra but at least it will be nice to drink when it comes time for your cup of Green Tea.
