How to MEDITATE when YOU are BUSY – Spa it Girl

Are you a Busy Girl that would love to Meditate, but you don’t know how you could possibly fit it in?

Thanks to Yvette Le Blowitz, Wellness Blogger and Founder of Spa it Girl we now know how you can fit Mediation into your Daily Life so you can Feel Calm and at Peace within.

Here is how:

1) Focus on your Breath for 1 Minute a Day, that’s all it takes.

One minute of day spent in stillness can change your life. Commit to one minute a day and use this practice to silence your mind and calm your energy.

Try this Breathing Technique:

Breathe in for 5 seconds.

Hold your breath for 5 seconds.

Release for 5 seconds.

Hold for 5 seconds.

Practice this breath pattern for one minute a day.

2) Peace Begins Within

This technique is actually a Kundalini meditation that’s fast, simple and effective,” and this is how you do it, gently press your thumb against your index finger, then your middle finger, then your ring finger, then your pinkie finger.

When you touch your index finger, say: PEACE

When you touch your middle finger, say: BEGINS

When you touch your ring finger, say: WITH

When you touch your pinkie finger, say: ME

Breathe deeply as you say each word—go as slow or as fast as you’d like, you can use this any where when you feel your stress levels and anxiety start to kick in and want to take over.

Use this technique when waiting at the lights in city peak our traffic, under the desk at your work station, even on the toilet if you have to.

This technique will help you get through some of the most hectic times and it will gently remind you that Peace Begins With Me.

3) Cup of Tea Mindful Meditation

If you enjoy making a cup of tea then considered it as a meditative practice, also Take this time to detach from your day.

If you are feeling overwhelmed with your workload, make a cup of tea and become mindful and meditate on it.

Bring your attention to the present moment and pay attention to what is right in front of you and all of the sensations, this will help to bring you back to the present moment, simply when making a cup of tea.

4) Try a Walking Meditation

You can find a meditative moment even when you’re walking,If you are, say going shopping, going for your Morning Walk make it meditative. Here is how:

Take a deep breath with every step.
Feel your feet and focus on being more grounded with each step.
Use a mantra while you walk. With each step recite this mantra: I am, calm now.
Whenever you’re stressed out you disconnect from your body and your power, Get more grounded with a walking meditation.

I personally find this Walking Meditation to be one of the Most Powerful ways to come back to my true self and to become totally present in my being.

5) Take a Five-Minute Tech Break

One of the main reasons we’re so stressed these days is because of technology and all the instant social media feeds, and I know this all to well because I am an on-line blogger and have been for years.

We can all fall into the trip of trying to consume ever single sec and minute with now doing from checking out emails to social media news feeds and no matter how much we look, no matter how many hours of the day we dedicate each day to looking at Social Media it can sometimes feel like it’s never enough.

So Take a Break for Social Media and Technology, put your smart phone down and give yourself a five minute tech break once a day and use that five minutes to practice one of the meditations you’ve learned here.

Do the one minute breath trick, go for a walking meditation or find peace in your pulse, just turn off your phone, step away from the computer and create space for stillness.

6) Tune in and Do Youtube Guided Meditation

I am such a Fan of youtube guided meditations, I have tried everything from Guided Meditations, Chanting Meditations, Kundalini Meditations, you name it, I am open to giving a youtube guided meditation a go.

One of the things I have learnt about cultivating a Mediation Home Practice is you need to be comfortable in your space, and the guiding meditation voice has to make you feel good from the get go. If for whatever reason the guiding voice doesn’t make you feel good acknowledge how you are feeling and simply change your frequency and try another guided meditation through youtube.

There are so many guided meditations available so all you need to do is simply tune in to how you are feeling, and choose your guided meditation based on how you are feeling and what you true inner self really needs.

Love & Light
